The Paragraph Properties dialog box enables you to set paragraph properties in
the web page or properties of the Paragraph Text
Object in the Graphic Editor. It is also used to set properties for the Style element Paragraph.
The Paragraph Properties dialog box contains three tabs: General, Bulleting and
Numbering. Note that in case of Style element Paragraph
there are only the Bulleting and Numbering tabs.
General Tab
You can choose type of the paragraph in the General tab. Standard predefined
paragraph types described in HTML specifications (Heading1-Heading6, ADDRESS,
PREFORMATTED) are available.
The PREFORMATTED style is used to import formatted ASCII text (it will be displayed
exactly as it looks in the ASCII editor).
To align paragraph, check the appropriate radio button in the Alignment section (Left, Center, Right or Justify) or click an appropriate button on the Formatting Toolbar.
You can set Left and Right Margins for the paragraph.
If you want the paragraph text not to wrap even if it does not fit in the browser window, check the No Wrapping check box.
Left and Right Clear Attributes mean that if you have a picture on the left (right) side of the page, paragraph text will be displayed from the bottom of the image if the appropriate check box is checked. Otherwise, the text will be wrapped around the image.
Use the Indentation section to add the indents to the paragraph. The default
size is 0.
You can apply indent to first line only or to all other lines of the paragraph.
Check the List Level Indent box to indent the paragraph as a bulleted or numbered
list.
You can specify Line Spacing between lines of the paragraph, before and after
the paragraph.
The specified amounts of Line Spacing are Single, One & Half, Double, Triple, Exactly
(Exactly enables you to set it manually).
You can also set spacing before and after paragraph.
To make the paragraph bulleted, check the Bulleted box.
Choose the bullet type by checking the appropriate radio button in the Type
section. The types are: Disk, Circle, Square, Rectangle, Dingbat,
Custom.
The Dingbat bullet type enables you to use one of 41 special bullets described in
HTML specifications.
The Custom type of bullets enables you to use custom images as bullets.
You can import a bullet by clicking the Import button, create a new bullet and edit
it in the Graphic Editor by clicking the Create button, or acquire from any data
source such as scanner, digital camera, or other device by clicking the Acquire... button. If you want to insert an image already
used in the project, in the Resource tab choose an image from the site resources
tree. You can use an image from a custom library in the Library tab. You can use an
image from other sites. Write the URL of the image in the URL tab.
In the Color section three options are available: Default - use default color; Text - use the color of the first character in paragraph; Own - set color manually from the color palette above. The color palette is displayed in this case only. Choose the color library from the pull-down menu and click the color you want to use for the bullet.
In the Size section three options are available: Default - use default size; Text - use the size of the first character in paragraph; Own - set the bullet size manually. Any size from 1 to 7 is available.
To make the paragraph numbered, check the Numbered box.
For Graphic Object Paragraph you can also define Separator Symbol to separate the number from the text. Options are None, Dot, Bracket.
Choose a numeration style by checking the appropriate radio button in the Numeration Style section. Options are: arabic numerals (123), upper case latin letters (ABC), lower case latin letters (abc), upper case roman numerals (XVI), lower case roman numerals (xvi).
To start numeration from certain number (or corresponding letter), check the Manual radio button in the Value section and insert the number. If Auto is checked, numbering will start from the first point.
In the Color section three options are available: Default - use default color; Text - use the color of the first character in paragraph; Own - set color manually from the color palette. To open the color palette, click the color button. The Choose Color dialog box will be displayed.
In the Size section three options are available: Default - use default size; Text - use the size of the first character in paragraph; Own - set the size manually. Any size from 1 to 7 is available.
Click the Reset button to set all the options to defaults. The options take the settings of the assigned style, if any, or remain undefined.
